Mosier, William Jasper 1870-1964 (called Jasper)(TN)
I am looking for connections to my great grandfather, William Jasper Mosier
1870-1964 (called Jasper). He lived and died in Independence Co. TN. He
married Alzara Elizabeth (Wilson) Mosier (called Lizzie) 1875-1944. I have
his siblings as Mollie (Mosier) Small, Jonnie Mosier, Julia Mosier (called
Babe), Jim Mosier, Lawson Mosier, Luther Mosier. His parents were William
Frances Mosier (called Bill) and Julia (Sipes) Mosier. My grandfather says
that he believes W. Jasper's parents and siblings took off for TX. If this
piece fits in anyone's puzzle let me know (vkvirkevinson@excite.com). I can
share detailed info on W. Jasper's offspring. Also, is the Mosier name
French?

Mosier (IN, TX, MO, NE)
I am seeking the parents and siblings of Thomas R.
Mosier born 1836 in Indiana, however his eldest son Allen Emery Mosier
states in the census that his father was born in Hamburg, Germany.
Family fokelore states that the Mosiers came to the US from Germany
about 1845. Thomas died 18 June 1865 at Benton Barracks near St. Louis,
MO. He married Susannah BOATMAN 24 April 1856 in Hopkins County, TX and
had the following children Allen Emery, John Wesley, Theodore. Thomas
most probably had a brother William Mosier born 1836 in IN or Germany.
William married Alzenia Boatman in 1858 in Tarrant, Hopkins, TX. He
died 1864 in Helena, Phillips, AR during Civil War. I have been
searching for parents and siblings of Thomas for more than twenty years
and would appreciate any clue.

My name is Leanne Kay Archer-Eisler. My paternal grandmother was Leona Beta MOSHER. She married Wilkin Klock Archer in 1916. She also had a brother by the name of Leroy Bradford Mosher b. July 18, 1890. Their parents were E. Bradford Mosher and Sarah Adelaide CHADWICK MOSHER; both were from New Bedford, MA, but later settled in the Chicago, Cook County, IL area. Leroy is the individual I am having lots of difficulty with. He was in the military...the Army Air Corp I believe and I believed he met someone while on active duty by the name of Lillian <no last name, its unknown>. They had two daughters...Lillian and Jean...one of the girl's nickname was Skees. I have hit a brick wall with this search and hope that you may be of some assistance.
