McCloud ( East Coast) I am interested in finding information about my McCloud relatives. Unfortunately I have little information. My great grandmother was a McCloud who married a Jardine. I believe they came from Scotland in the mid 1800's and settled on the east coast. They had several children: Norman Jardine, Elliot Jardine, and Jessie Jardine. McCloud (AL) Information about my mother's side of the family is very sketchy at best, but I know her father's name was Tommie Franklin McCloud and he was born in Huntsville, Madison Co., AL, in 1888. His parents' names were Sam McCloud and Mary Gatlin, but that's about the extent of what we know. Mary was supposed to have died when Tommie was 2 yrs. old, and an older sister raised him. McLeod ( GA., FL. ) I am searching for information on the parents of Simeon Owen McLeod b. 1812 Bryan County, Ga. Simeons mothers maiden name or husband is unknown. Simeon had brothers James, John and William. He also had a sister named Mary who was later married to Folsom, McDonald and Johnson. The family moved to Lowndes Co., Ga. 7/08/98McLeod ( Nova Scotia ) I have been researching the McLeods' of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia for many many years. I am trying to locate a missing man. His name is Norman McLeod, he is the gr. gr. grandfather of my husband. He was married to Jessie Campbell, year unkown. They had as children: Angus, Norman, Peter, Donald, Nora, Daniel and the youngest, Catherine. This man has literally disppeared of the face of the earth. We have been to Cape Breton on numerous occasions, but we have yet to find anything on him. Wedding date, unknown, birthdate, unknown. His wife, Jessie was born January 8, 1827 and his youngest daughter was born in 1863. He had to have been around for "part" of that. His oldest son was born in 1848. 8/30/98MacLeod ( Scotland, Canada ) Dr Murdock MacLeod lived in Kilpheadar, North Uist, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. I only know of two children, Flora & Alexander. Flora married William Arbuckle in 1773. Alexander was known as An Doctor Ban (The Fair Doctor). I can trace Flora & Williams line down to myself but Alexander had 2 sons Norman & Kenneth. Kenneth became the Hon. Physician to H.M. The King and served in the Indian Medical Service from 1865 to 1892. Can anyone connect to this line. I know some of Flora's line emmigrated to Canada but know very little of the MacLeod line. Dr Murdock MacLeod would be my g-g-g-g-g-grandfather.

My grandfather may be James Robert or James Roderick. His date of birth is December 29, 1845 and date of death is May 24, 1924. Records indicate that Ava, Beulah, and Maurice (Morris) were all born in Oregon. (Ava 1905, Beulah 1906, and Maurice 1915) Maurice (my Father) is shown as being born in Carlton, Oregon. 9/19/98McLeod ( River Denys Mountain (RDM), Inverness County, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia ) I am seeking information on any McLeod families of River Denys Mountain (RDM), Inverness County, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, during the period 1828 through 1901. My GGGF, Duncan McLeod and wife, Isabelle (Gillis), lived on RDM from about 1835 through 1851, when they sold the 200 acre farm to one Samuel Cameron. Adjacent to Duncan was a brother, John McLeod and his wife Euphemia. Both families had numerous children and we suspect there may have been other siblings or relations to Duncan and John on RDM. I am interested in corresponding and trading information with those that have information of families of any surname who lived on River Denys Mountain (RDM). I'm looking for a Mary McLEOD or McCLOUD I believe she was from the Shetland Islands and she married a Thomas MOZEALOUS who was, I think born in Spain. They had at least 11 children, Maria Lutz Mozealous born June 7, 1857, Mary, Susan, Sarah, Jane, Thomas, Twins Alford and Albert, James (who was my great grandfather born March 1850 in Canada), Henry born March 29, 1835 and John. I believe some of the Mozealous settled in Connecticut and some must have settled in Canada. Apparently Mary (McLeod) Mozealous must have been in Canada at some time. Barbara was the daughter of Simon Matthews and Elizabeth Atkins, several children were born to this couple before Elizabeth's death. Simon remarried and had more children by 2nd wife Nancy. At this time I have no idea who Murdock's parents were or if there were siblings. In 1857 Murdock, Barbara, and their 10 children came to Lawrence Co., Arkansas.
