Alexander C. McLeod died intestate in Macon County, Alabama between 1-1-1852, when he signed for a debt, and 10-8-1852, when Thomas L. McGowan became the administrator of his estate. He left a wife Susan and six minor children: Alexander, Jane, George, John, Margaret, and Nancy. He owned 80 acres in Macon County, to wit: The SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 and the NW 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 27 in Township 13 and Range 23 (Macon County has given up land to other counties since 1852).
