Lee, Al and Roy McCloud
Corporal Lee ("Pete") McCloud, West Virginia native, served with the 5th Army, 85th Infantry Division, 310th Engineer Battalion, Company C, in World War II.
Drafted in 1942 he trained at Camp Shelby, Mississippi; Yuma, AZ; and Camp Pilot Knob, California, before departing for North Africa and Italy.
He was wounded on September 13, 1944 while supporting the infantry's successful assault of the Germans on Mount Altuzzo, Italy. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Corporal McCloud was discharged after the war in October 1945.

Awarded six Air Force Meritorious Service Medals, 3 Air Force Commendation Medals, 8 Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal w/device, Small Arms Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Long Tour Ribbon & Short Tour Ribbon.
TSgt Roy R. McCloud, USAF & New York Air Guard. West Virginia Native. Retired from the NY Air Guard in 1999. Served on active duty at Hancock Field, New York; Anderson AFB, Guam; and McConnell AFB, KS. After separating from active duty, joined the New York Air Guard. Deployed to Operation Desert Storm, Saudia Arabia, 1991 and served for six months.
Corporal McCloud is the father of Al & Roy. A total of 47 years of service in the military.
